TheThaiGerFund is part of the ThaiGer Ventures Group specializing in assisting foreign investors and businesses who want to capitalize on the buoyant investment climate in Thailand.
Lack of project finance in Thailand is a major headache for many small to medium size business operators and investors, especially foreign nationals. Banks, by and large, are reluctant to provide funding for investment projects, no matter how profitable they seem or how much collateral owners/developers can provide.
TheThaiGerFund was set up in 2024 with a view to resolve these problems. TheThaiGerFund is a US$50 million entrepreneurial development fund designed to take advantage of investment opportunities in Thailand and assist investors with much needed capital.
The fund’s financial resources can be further extended, if and when necessary, through the involvement of the fund’s strategic partner, an investment group offering tier 2 and 3 finance to projects supported by TheThaiGerFund.
The fund’s assets, which have been provided by institutional seed financiers, are invested in selected stocks, bonds and secure physical assets, like real estate, with the potential to generate attractive returns on investment.
With regard to real estate, the fund will only consider for investment projects that have a clear business objective, that are at least 70% completed, and which offer the potential of a quick re-sale upon completion.
The fund is also actively seeking attractive business opportunities in the distressed property asset market and funding the last mile of promising developments which would otherwise be unable to obtain bank financing.
The fund’s strategy is to become equity or joint venture partners with investors and developers and share both the risks and the profits. This model allows the original participants to complete their projects with ease and realise their profits with the support of the ThaiGer Ventures Group and TheThaiGerFund. Creating and building relationships with other fund companies we are able to offer initial startup and development funds as well as secure long-term funding through our partner companies within the ThaiGer Ventures Group.
